I had a strange dream last night.
I was visiting some sort of tourist locale, a museum or viewpoint perhaps, far up in some mountain range. I came there with a group (family), but I was off alone somewhere when I (and others around me) noticed some white wolves scouting around the perimeter of the area. There was immediately a sense of preternatural fear; it's like they were mobs in a video game or something. I think I even thought "wolves this time... it could have been something else, like bears". As though this was a random encounter.
And then after appearing a few times, the wolves came and attacked! Luckily, there were some kind of guards walking around in plasticky black suits equipped with some sort of guns. And this is where it gets funny... One of the wolves broke off and came after me. When I saw that a line of guards was able to hold the other wolves at bay, I lifted off my jacket--since, naturally, my shirt beneath was black--so that I looked like one of the guards. This alone didn't fully dissuade my attacker, so I held up my hands as though I had a gun, and that made him stop.
So I guess that fended off the wolves. But then I had this thought before the dream (nightmare?) fully ended, which was: I was able to hold a wolf off by simply approximating the guards' behavior, but I didn't actually do anything aversive to drive the attacking wolf off. So clearly, this was learned behavior on the part of the wolf. But where did the wolf learn it? Had these innocent canines been subject to preemptive discipline!? WAS THIS REALLY ALL CONSPIRACY!? Dun dun DUNNNN!!
So yeah. I had a behaviorism dream. About rowdy dogs. I blame work. -_-;
