This might give you idea of the veritable swarm of boats that choked the entrance to the bay while the ships were arriving. You can see the sales of the Cuauhtemoc on the horizon, and the Pacific Swift to its left, heading towards the camera.

An escort keeps onlookers away from the North Star. There was virtually a fleet of those security boats flanking the visiting ships.

... and I'm not sure what it means, but there's 356 feet and 4 inches of it.

Not sure Pallada was the one doing it, but after most of the ships past, a few let off some blank cannon rounds.
You might be able to see how crowded the waterfront was behind those two ships.
Talofa also wins points for flying pirate flags. Yar.
That's a nice jet-ski. Though I thought the best part was that he's still in full uniform under the life vest.
Damn yacht eclipses my shot of the Pallada with sails unfurled for her pass of the shoreline.
That's no boat ... it's a suspension bridge! And another one being built alongside it! ... and ... and ... and look!! A real lens flare! You never see those any more.
